The Best Places to Hunt
QUEEN MOUNTAIN RANCH — For a lavish hunting adventure, check out Queen Mountain Ranch that features more than 8,000 square feet of luxurious living space and 100 square miles of mountain wilderness that is teeming with impressive trophy game. The Queen Mountain Ranch boasts 11 bedrooms, eight bathrooms, three great rooms, and many other amenities, including chef-cooked meals and spectacular views from the hot tub. This memorable stay is about two hours from the Salt Lake City International Airport and only a 30-minute drive from Park City.
SOUTH FORK LODGE — In a short 50-minute drive from the SLC International Airport, you’ll find the rustic seven-bedroom, six-bathroom South Fork Lodge. This property is perfect for year-round use, but this lodge is a favorite among trophy hunters hosted by the pros at R & K Hunting Company in the late summer and fall. In addition to spectacular views and unforgettable hunting, you can enjoy a privately stocked fishing pond and a bubbling stream. CENTRAL UTAH RANCH — As the name suggests, this ranch is located in the rugged wilderness of Central Utah. This canvas wall tent camp is 25 miles from Price, UT, and 2.5 hours from the Salt Lake City International Airport. This camp features eight tents, a cooking trailer, a dining tent, and a refrigerator unit for your harvested game. Each tent is outfitted with power, lights, cots with mattresses, and a nearby bathroom complete with showers. At this ranch, you can enjoy comfort and proximity to nature with real, home-cooked meals. An impressive number of trophy animals have been taken out of this area in Utah, including Boone and Crockett heads.
THE MORGAN LODGE — The Morgan Lodge, found in the heart of the Wasatch Mountains, features numerous hunting lodges and camps. The main facility boasts a kitchen, two bedrooms, three bedrooms (with six showers), and a great room complete with a TV, couches, and tables. The outbuildings are smaller heated cabins outfitted with two bunk beds under the beautiful shade of the cottonwood trees. The R & K guides can individualize your hunting experience at the Morgan Lodge for those with special needs or minimal foot travel to rigorous vertical hunts.
